Star Ferry in Monochrome

$300.00$2,500.00

The Star Ferry used to be the only way to cross Victoria Harbour between Hong Kong Island and Kowloon’s Tsim Sha Tsui. While now there are various options including the MTR and three cross harbour tunnels to choose from, the Star Ferry for me is still the most relaxing, and cheapest way to cross. The slow ferry, albeit only around 4-6 minutes, offers spectacular views of both sides of the harbour, with a gentle breeze. My personal preference is to try to sit upstairs at the front. There is a risk that the Star Ferry may close for business. I certainly hope not but you never know. This picture was taken from West Kowloon looking out over Wan Chai. Fenwick Pier and Arcade was particularly famous for catering to US Navy sailors when they used to stop by Hong Kong. The building will be redeveloped. The picture has intentionally been edited in monochrome with high grain.
