A random walk in Tung Chung on Lantau Island took me to Yat Tung Estate. This is a government housing estate where the local wet market has been renovated to look like Hong Kong from a few decades ago. It was just after 2pm in the middle of summer. The sun blazing down with high humidity. I had just taken the pictures of the rickshaw, old post box, and the Yat Tung Street market. I started to walk along the path and see if anything else might catch my eye, then the statues at this restaurant caught my eye. It was a humble gesture I thought, thanking customers for visiting the place? Or was it praying for customers. I am not sure.
